Jobs in the auto transport field

In some areas the auto transporters are still downsizing but in most areas of the country I think we are beginning to see an upturn. When I talked to Michael at Bill Keen trucking today he said he has work  and just needs drivers.  He is even willing to train a truck driver to become a carhauler. His number is 870-239-9104 and the are located in PARAGOULD, AR

Well this company is not the only one there are a lot of companies looking for carhaulers and because of cheap rates and no home time no benefits no retirement plans and the number 1 reason making drivers buy or lease truck and responsible for all bills and damages with rates that are not transparent!!!!! Well there are union companies that are trying to hire and having problems!!1 These companies forgot that the carhauler is a great asset not a ass that they can replace anytime!!!

what union companies are hiring? I thought they were all going bankrupt

  3. jsims says:

Most carhaulers I know, won’t go union because of layoffs, garbage equipment and the politics. You couldn’t bribe or con me into a union job.

I’ve been a broker, a co driver, and a unionized co driver. I’ve seen pro’s and con’s with ALL the above. Just make sure you don’t burn all your bridges. Work is work when the kids are hungary.

Don’t let the “numbers game” fool you, Dude. Look at Mr Big Hair …. Oppps …. I mean Donald Trump. How many times has HE been bankrupt ?? He’s not having supper tonight in a soup kitchen, of that you can be sure ! Bankruptcy used to mean a “going out of business sale” for the company in question. Now it just means “we don’t have to pay our bills on time this year.” Just my toughts on that.

Currently, in my neck of the woods, there is one unionized company hiring for two terminals, four non-union companies hiring co drivers, and two non-union companies looking for brokers. Pickin’s around here seem to be slim for experienced car-haulers. And the pay for all the above doesn’t seem to bad, from what I’ve been told.

Apparantly you are one who chooses to be taken advantage of and probably are under the TMs desk every chance you get. Sounds like good pay, good health care, good pension, seniority, greivance procedure never enter your picture. You truly can not be concerned the least little bit with your future or your families future for that matter.

You are surely the postor child of a true scab.

  6. Non union pro says:

To Retarded Union Carhauler living the good life!, You’re a real piece of work man. You sir are the reason I will never hire any carhaulers that have ever worked for a union company. It sounds like you spent a great deal of time filing grievances cuz somebody expected you to do what you were hired to do. or maybe you just spent a great deal of your time at the doctor cuz you had a runny nose.

    I’m with you jsims!!!

In reply to Non union pro:

Never filed a greivance except when the company tried to violate the contract. Yes the very contract that the company signed!!

Did what I was suppossed to do, hauled cars day in and day out, damage free. Excellent safety record, worked everyday rain or shine.

People like you are not the least bit concerned with what your employees make, only how much cash you can stuff in your own pockets at the employees expense!

Too bad some have so little respect for themselves and their family, that they would work for someone such as yourself.

Glad I’m retired, too bad your employees will never be able too.

  8. jsims says:

Mr. union, I was not disrespectful in any fashion. I see your union training has paid off. What is the definition of “scab”? I would define it as a copany that would slash the rates just to get a backhaul. ALLIED, CASSENS, COOPER. They will cut a rate as low as they possibly can. Allied has taken back how much pay from their drivers? And the drivers stayed….. Sounds scabish to me. Mr. Union, I ask that you take your head out of you ass, before you make a comment like that again. Their is no certainty in union positions anymore. The unions have served their purpose, and are old news. I have worked union. It is the most degrading thing I have ever done. I can’t work to my potential, cause it might make somebody look bad. sorry, I give 100% to whatever I do. Unlike you union pukes. Have a great day, SCAB

I am a person who will never work for an outfit who tells me who I can socialize with.

  9. jsims says:

Besides as far as retirerment goes, I would rather control where my savings goes, not my copruct union bosses. take responsibilty for yourself. You don’t need the big bad union to wipe your snotty nose.

who is going to fund the pension plans as the unions go into insolvency? the American tax payers have had enough with the bailouts and government motors

  13. R.Roller says:

all of yall need to take a break the only problem i see is the damn brokers out here that screw drivers over left and right, they cut the rates worse than anybody does they are the scabs and scum of this business!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. Capt. America says:

What’s driving down rates for almost all things labor are the illegal immigrants. They are allowed in because any inflation spells the end of politicians’ careers. Labor rates will never rise so long as there is slave labor. They just love ’em. Close off the border, and the rates will take care of themselves.

  15. Jamey Key says:

I love the auto transport business and I think car haulers are great people. I’m glad to have a job and I appreciate the hard work all of our drivers put in. God bless you and your families. Be careful out there.

Yes, the job is hard and the hours are long. But car haulers are some of the toughest people I know. We are now hiring due to expansion.
