According to the report the carrier had violated a weight restriction on a bridge but the reporter is evidently guessing because they also reported that the state police and the trucking company both had “no comment”

Funny!! yeah, Rhode island is making a killing on this bridge, It’s on I-95 in pawtucket, limited to 18 ton and not more than 2 axles on a major hwy, they get trucks going over it 24 hours a day at 3,000 each $$$$
My first guess would be a dangerously secured load. Look at the RR wheel on that top
rear PC – sheesh.
Wrench, where I worked, that was standard procedure with long vehicles. We called it splitting a tire.
Use to haul the and the company I worked for made us overload our limits with these damn pork-mobiles all the time. Too long and too heavy to carry a full load legally. Sure is funny when the police look the other way when their cars are being shipped though. Talk about one of the worst cars to unload and unload. No traction and rear wheels drive mean the suck if it’s wet out, snowing, or there is ice build-up on the ramps. Down with the CROWN——————VICS.
