How many of you are having troubles collecting from your customers? Darci Richeson of Darci Richeson of Shasta Auto TransportShasta Auto transport recently had to resort to small claims court to collect $3200 from Harvest Ford in Klamath Falls Oregon. She received a judgement in her favor but still pretty hard to buy fuel with that!

Harvest ford was recently Purchased by the Lithia Group so they should be in solid hands now.

COD is the one thing I've never had to worry about in car haul …. or trucking in general at all. I did a brief stint as a courier for awhile when I wasn't on the big roads and I did some COD's then, but the rule was the cust. didn't get the box until you had cash in hand.

 

I understand that in the case above, the carrier probably had a few invoices outstanding as opposed to a one shot deal. Either way, I can't relate. In todays financial climate, it's always going to be tough on the little guy.
