Do you feel like Mr Hoffa usually expresses a typical drivers views well?

I think so, but I am curious why you ask this question.

Because when I watched the  video of part of his speech at the rally, I didn't really think he was necessarily calling for violence, as many have suggested. I did however think he used poor judgment in using the "sons of bitches" when speaking publicly at a political family friendly rally. I would wholeheartedly agree that you would likely hear much stronger language used by the average truck driver in the yard or the shop. I think however that most of them tone that down when in other settings like PTA meetings, restaurants, etc. I feel like Hoffa paints all of us truck drivers as uncouth and rough.

Me and my son were at that rally and I thought him to be funny and it reminded me of a melt down dean had in Iowa! I think most people know that hoffa could not drive a semi yet alone be considered a truck driver I believe he went to law school not truckdriving school!Frown

I guess I'm one of the few that didn't know he never drove!

I've been a Teamster since 1965 and NO Teamster President..( since Jimmy Hoffa was railroaded by the Harvard whimp AG )has even come close to respecting us drivers like he did…By the way…That money loaned from the Pension fund was making a lot of money for the fund in interest payments….Jimmy Hoffa was a MAN'S man  and put his membership ahead of EVERY THING..and EVERYONE…He was on the front lines with us and genuinely cared about each and every one of us….Yep..he represented us like NO other president has….At first I  thought young Jimmy was the real deal….but several things have happened that changed my mind…..If  his Dad was still running the Teamsters….the crap going on with freight and carhaul would not be happening….CryCryCry…..Think about it….A lawyer who's supposed to be working in our best interest  getting together with  ( shudder ) politicians who are lawyers…..These ambulance chasing bottom feeders care about NOBODY but themselves…FrownFrownYellYell
