rates are low cause you got compants bidding on freight  which dont own trucks. they give it to brokers after they take there cut off the top , and a few companies like URS which also hammered the rates down to get the freight . now its up to the carriers which offer quality ,on time delivery to bring rates up again.. however i can tell you we used to get 130 plus back in 1992 to go from bordentown NJ to long isl. and we got cut by someone offering to do it for 60.. now that guy is long gone.so he cut his own throat..we are stronger than ever..

Jack Cooper managed to get some chrysler traffic going to NY .out of the ramp on Doremus ave in newark.. with the hope of gettin the rate up to where they can make money..and pay union wages , high toll costs , and fix old trucks..good luck JACK
