This transporter stopped on the shoulder to check a tire problem and was rear-ended by car carrier auto transporter fatal wreckanother truck. Although the transport driver and his helper were able to dive to safety in time both occupants of the other truck were killed. You can read the whole report on TheStar online.

try to pull into a rest area in the u.s at 6 AM to do a check no where to park because they are full because they are to small.parking spots are to small for carriers to stop unless you like it when a freight hauler hits one of your units on the front or rear. side of the road is not a safe place to stop. i will drag that truck as far as i can to get off the side for a safe place.

Yet another reason I've always been a night driver. It's alot easier to park at 8am in the tri-state area rest areas ( NY, NJ, and CT ) then to park there at 8pm !
