There were no injuries but the damage to the trailer and its 8-car load looks extensive. nz car hauler auto transporter carrier crash1There are a bunch of news reports online but the one with the best pictures is stuff.co.nz. The driver apparently clipped the shoulder of the road and lost control. I'm not sure what the tie down regulations are like there but notice that some of the cars are completely free of the carrier. Also the impact looks like it was hard enough to tear the upper rear deck completely off of the trailer!
