This may be old news but I just saw it on Yahoo finance. Although it may be a bit extreme 
I suppose they have to do what they have to do to keep jobs in the U.S. Idle plants with workers on unemployment doesn’t do any of us any good. It still surprised me when I read:
“Sonic is expected to be a breakthrough in establishing a new level of cooperation between Detroit and the United Automobile Workers.The radically revamped factory here operates with fewer and cheaper workers, many of whom are paid $14 an hour rather than the full U.A.W. wage of $28 an hour.”
